"I started The Gabriel Project to encourage my students to be active in human and civil rights. The personal relationship that has developed between my students and the children of Tanzania is truly inspiring. Each year in Africa, the families of the children we have helped gather for a visit and when I look at each child after another year has gone by, I am renewed with enthusiasm to continue with our work. It is amazing how much love your heart can hold." -- Mark J. Melamed, Founder

"I really enjoyed the charity event at Prohibition June 5, 2004. I was reading the Gabriel Project Site and it has touched me deeply and I know why this is important. When I was at the age 2 or 3 years old, I had open heart surgery but I never knew the correct term for it. I just called my mom to ask her and as God as my witness she told me the surgery I had was tetralogy of fallot, I had two holes in my heart. This might sound corny but somehow I want to thank Mark, Kamar de los Reyes, and the other OLTL cast for saving lives for the children." -- Sheryle Samson
"My family and I would like to thank you, along with everyone else involved in The Gabriel Project, for the generous gift that you have given to us. It was very unexpected, and very much apprecieated. I was unaware that our doctors had contacted you about my sons, Timothy and Tyler. Both boys are getting ready for their kidney transplants, and are in pretty good spirits considering what lies ahead for them. I cannot express in words, how much it has touched my heart to know that there are people out there, such as you and your sutduents, who care enough to dedicate your time and efforts to help families like ours through difficult times." -- Parent Bridget Woodman
"The Gabriel Project has helped my son understand the importance of caring and sharing for the less fortunate." -- Parent Mrs. Lillie Rivera
"The Gabriel Project makes our children more aware of the world around them, how big the world is and how small it can be when we work together. It is truly a global and community project. Everyone involved learns so much and gets more out of it than they give." -- Parent Mrs. Carol Harrison
"The Gabriel Project has opened my sons eyes to the rest of the world." -- Parent Mrs. Nancy Pollard
"The Gabriel Project has taught my daughters what sharing, caring, and loving is." -- Parents Mr. and Mrs. Reddy
"The opportunities that The Gabriel Project has provided my children will stay with them throughout their lives. My whole family has taken an active role in helping with all aspects of this worthwhile project. Meeting the child and mother from Tanzania has increased our awareness of human and civil rights, globally. More projects like this are needed in our schools." -- Parent Mrs. Debbie Albano
"We have chosen to stay involved with The Gabriel Project even though our son has moved on to the high school. The benefits from this project are not felt just by the students at Memorial, but by their families, the families of the children in Tanzania, and worldwide. We applaud the efforts of all those involved and plan to stay active for years to come." -- Parent Mrs. Rita Errickson
